Thunder on the Gulf
Thunder on the Gulf powerboat races expand to Pensacola to create the 'Flora-Bama Shootout'. The Gulf Coast Powerboat Association announced the formation of the Flora-Bama Shootout Grand Prix Championship, which will bring world class powerboat racing to Orange Beach this April.

Yesterday's History, Today's Mystery

Fort Morgan State Historic Site Museum
Fort Morgan is a Third System masonry fort built between 1819 and 1833. The fort stands guard where the bay meets the Gulf of Mexico, the fort played a significant role in the Battle of Mobile Bay in August 1864.

The Hot Shop at The Coastal Arts Center of Orange Beach
Since 2009, The Hot Shop has been Alabama’s premier hot glass blowing facility. The Hot Shop is an open facility so feel free to stop by and watch the artists at work. The Hot Shop offers "Make Your Own Glass" classes M-F at 9am.

Sand Castle University
Sand Castle University specializes in teaching sand castle building techniques to groups of all ages and skill levels. "Sand Castle U" brings necessary equipment right to your beach location, and every class includes a free time lapse video of your group along with a list of all the tools used. 

The Susan N McCollough Gallery and Studio
Open to the public, the gallery features abstract expressionist style with freedom of movement, vibrant or monochromatic colors. She sculpts and paints in oils, acrylics, charcoal, ink, pastels, water-colors and mixed media. .

Wetlands Nature Park
Wetlands Park is a walking/hiking park located at the base of the water tower at the Gulf Shores Sportsplex. This loop gravel path around a fishing pond, complete with benches, gazebos, and a fishing pier is a quiet way to enjoy natural wetland ecology.
